You might have developed an allergy to whatever antiperspirant you use, or antiperspirants in general. Try not using any for a few days and see if the swelling subsides. If it doesn't, start keeping a history of how long it's been there, when and how much it hurts, and any changes in its size. Then make an appointment with your doctor and bring the information with you.How do you get ride of swollen lymph nodes under your arm?
No don't get too alarmed, a swollen lymph node under the arm is one sign of breast cancer... or other cancer... even if that is not the case you probably need and antibiotic or medication to take the infection down. Or it may just be block and need removal. It is really best to see the doctor. This is not something to mess around with. Whatever it is, once you know you can treat it the right way. My prayers go with you.
Swollen lymph nodes, especially in the area that you are describing, can be caused by a multitude of evils. You're talking in the range of allergy, to infection up to needing surgery. The ONLY thing that would be safe to assume in this situation is that you need to speak with your family physician. Additionally, if I were you, I wouln't put it off.
You need to ask an health care professional for medication for this problem
See a doctor, you may need treatment such as antibiotics or be checked for numerous other illnesses that cause swollen lymph nodes.
it is referred to as a boil, my sister has gotten them under her arm. my friend who works in a hospital says, that warm compresses can alleviate the pain, or try BoilEase an ointment in local drug stores. If all else fails, you will probably have to go to the hospital and let the doctor lance or pop it and drain out all the yucky stuff inside. I've been told that it infected tissue and can smell. good luck with that.
any antibiotic ointment would help remove the nodes. in the long term the arm pits need to be cleaned while taking bath. at one time i got regularly every 3 months. after i started cleaning vigorously with soap and fresh water while bathing - problem hasn't come back for 5 years.
You should see your doctor about it. It is possibly a condition called Hidradenitis. Hidradenitis is a chronic inflammation of the apocrine glands, a type of sweat gland found on certain parts of the body. One or more red, tender swellings (lesions) may appear and fill with pus, typically in the areas of the groin, armpits or buttocks. Unknown cause. No cure but treatment is geared towards managing the symptoms.
The gland is enlarged because it is fighting an infection else ware in the body. You are sick and the gland is reacting to that sickness. it is not causing it. If they progressively enlarge over a period of weeks you should seek medical attention. Otherwise focus your home treatment for the other symptoms.
