How do you get ride of a skunk?

We have a skunk that is digging up around our flowers and bushes by our back door. It is messing up the mulch. It had attacked our cat as well. It is mostly white with a black stripe-different looking, but definitely a skunk. We don't want to harm it, but just get ride of it. Please help.How do you get ride of a skunk?
You could call animal control, or someplace that deals with wildlife. Tell them that you don't want it harmed, more often than not they can use live traps. If animal control says they can't capture it without killing it, try getting hold of your local park or nature preserve. They should be able to help.How do you get ride of a skunk?
