How do I get ride of ants with out killing frogs?

I have a tank with frogs in it and I just saw that there are hundreds of ants in the tank. I already sprayed outside of the tank with ant spray but what do I do to get ride of them inside the tank with out harming my frogs? How do I get ride of ants with out killing frogs?
Many ants like sweets but some like protean.

First you need to work out which.

Place a small pile of sugar next to the ants , wait %26amp; see if they take it.

If they take the sugar away

Mix powered borax %26amp; caster sugar 50/50 , again place piles near the ant trails %26amp; let them take it away. Don't spray them or disturb them.

In about a week the ants should be gone.

If they don't take sugar then you will need to follow the ants to their nest , dig open the nest %26amp; poison them or buy a commercial bait .

Remember about one third of the ants in a nest never leave the nest so if you kill all that leave the nest you are only stopping them for a short time. soon they will breed up %26amp; return .

You can stop the ants from getting to the frogs by placing their tank in a tray %26amp; filling the tray with water to make a phyicial barrierHow do I get ride of ants with out killing frogs?
If it was me I would just put the frogs into a cardboard box long enough to take everything out of the tank and give it a good cleaning. Something in the tank is attracting the ants and I don't think you are really going to get rid of them until you get rid of that smell. Just make sure that whatever you use, you rinse thoroughly before you add the frogs back. Good Luck.
skim the ants out with the net...put them in soapy water in the sink..it kills them

find out where they are coming in and put ant bait to poison the nest.

also sprinkle grits or corn meal around the nest to kill them all..they explode once they eat it and drink.

also get a bug spray...spray them every time you see them..that way they cannot go back to the nest and tell the others where the goodies are.

This year has been bad with ants.

If you'd like to kill them outside...boiling water works and so does diesel sprayed on the nest..but it will kill the grass.

I lived on a farm..The previous owners had a problem with fire ants. So they had a plane fly over with DDT...a very carcinogenic deadly poison.....after ten years the ants were back with a vengence. There would be armies parading even across the bedroom walls.

we had to finally get orkin out and use termite spray to end the invasion.
Why don't you take the frogs out of the tank, put them in a temporary place like a tupperware with holes in the lid, and clean their home?

By tank I assume you mean fish tank, or terrarium.
