How do I get ride of ants inside a bakery?

i need to get rid of the ants, but i can't be putting traps outside. that would look wrong. is there any sprays or anything to kill and keep the ants out?How do I get ride of ants inside a bakery?
First: Sevin is a carbamate. Carbamates are VERY toxic. Sevin can kill animals and pets. If you hear otherwise, it's ignorance or an outright lie.

Now, to the heart of the matter:

Ants inside of a bakery are going to be a little tough. The American Baking Institute has set very high standards for professional bakeries. Accordingly, each state has it's own laws on what chemicals can be used inside and outside of bakeries, and I don't believe Sevin is among them. Don't break the law and/or make a consumer sick.

Professionals have products they can use that only they can legally buy to take care of ants. These products are odorless and when applied correctly are allowed by law to be applied in bakeries, dairies, meat packing facilities, all USDA inspected.

If you're spraying around the outside and it's not working, there's a good chance the colony (or colonies) are located INSIDE. This will make the job tougher, but not impossible.

If you want to try it yourself (make sure you can treat your own bakery in your state), read the entire label, labeling and MSDS for the product you'd like to try. Make sure that it says you can use it in a bakery. If it says in and around homes, but doesn't mention a bakery - DO NOT USE IT! You will be held liable for any damage it causes to people, and the manufacturer won't back you up.

Sevin is the safest spray or powder to use because it won't harm children or pets (or adults :). I would spray the outside first, making sure to spray ALL possible openings they might come through, not just around the bottom edge of the building. Once that is dry, sprinkle Sevin powder around the outside of the building to keep ants and other critters out. They carry it back to their nests and it continues to work there, too.

As far as keeping them out of food, bay leaves work wonders. I know ~ sketpical, aren't you? Place them along the shelves or on top of food items .... in the containers of sugar, flour, etc. Lay them aside when you go to get any of the items, then place them back on top of the food before putting it on the shelf again.

A co-worker told me about the bay leaves years ago but I was skeptical until I placed them in the kitchen window ledge where we fed the cats and had had problems with gobs of ants getting into their food. Stuck the bay leaves down in the cracks and broke it off and.... no more ants. Never had to replace them either.

Had my grandmother use them on the kitchen door stoop when she had problems and she also got rid of them. Needless to say she was also skeptical until she tried that, then she shared that bit of info with everyone. Nice thing is, after she starting using them, she didn't have to worry about her cats picking up poisons from Raid and other spray products that only worked temporarily and had to be sprayed often.

If you sprinkle Sevin outside, be sure and replace it after a rain and the area is dry. One of my Lts used to spray his trees in the spring each year with Sevin and said he never had problems with bugs on any of them.
Yes, there are sprays. You need to spray the entire outside of the bakery %26amp; I would also spray the inside edges too! Good luck!
